BS7858(2012) Security Screening & Vetting

The new standard for Security Screening & Vetting (BS7858) came into force in May this year.

More and more employers are required to confirm previous work history for their new employees. The importance of effective screening within the security business sector is paramount. It is a fundamental requirement for those wishing to comply with BS7858 (2012) and other industry codes of practice, to operate a stringent pre-employment vetting system.

Job Title: Relief Security Officer 
Salary: £7.50 per hour            Location: Herts/Beds and Bucks

  • Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence and current UK full driving licence as you will be required to travel to various sites up to a 30 mile radius from Luton.
  • You will be undertaking general security duties on a relief basis at various sites, acting as a visual deterrent, liaising with staff, managers and members of the public.
  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting building, equipment and access points; permitting entry.ƒ
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
  • You will be required to work days, nights and weekends.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable to work unsupervised and take responsibility
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible
  • Experience preferred, but not essential, as site training will be given.
  • You will be required to work days, nights and weekend.
  • Uniform provided.

Job Title: Security Officer 
Salary: £7.50 per hour             Location: Newport Pagnall 

Must hold a valid SIA licence.

  • You will be undertaking general security duties within a gatehouse environment, monitoring vehicle movement, CCTV, asting as a visual deterrent, liaising with staff, managers, and contracts.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
  • Complete report by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities. 
  • You will be required to work Wednesday to Sunday 18.00 hrs to 06.00 hrs.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skill 
  • Capable to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
  • Can maintain a proactive, enthusiastic approach.
  • Must be able to prioritise work effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible.
  • Experience preferred but not essential as site training will be given.
  • Uniform provided

Job Title: Security Officer 
Salary: £7.50 per hour             Location: Luton 

Must hold a valid SIA licence.

  • You will be undertaking general security duties within a gatehouse environment, monitoring vehicle movement, CCTV, asting as a visual deterrent, liaising with staff, managers, and members of the public.
  • Secure premises and personnel by partolling property; monitoring suveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
  • Monitoring the site using CCTV ( CCTV licence not required)
  • Complete report by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities. 
  • You will be required to work 19.30 hrs to 07.30 hrs on a 3 nights on 3 nights off basis on a rolling rosta.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
  • Can maintain a proactive, enthusiastic approach.
  • Must be able to prioritise work effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible.
  • Experience preferred but not essential as site training will be given.
  • Uniform provided

Job Title: Security Officer 

Salary: £9.50 per hour             Location: Luton

Must hold a valid SIA licence.

Morning Shift  - Monday to Friday  06.30 hrs to 07.30 hrs

  • You will be required to unlock the gate and man the gatehouse until staff arrive.

Evening Shift - Monsay to Friday 17.00 hrs to 19.00 hrs 

  • You will be required to man the gatehouse and lock up gate. 

Total hours per week 15 - must be able to cover both the morning and evening shifts

  • Capable to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
  • Can maintain a proactive, enthusiastic approach.
  • Must be able to prioritise work effectively.

This is offered as a two day course, however we can offer it as a split course over several weeks, depending on the client's requirements.

Assessment and certification

After completing a final assessment, successful candidates receive a level 3 HABC approved certificate, which allows you to continue to practise first aid for three years, after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary. .
