Vetting
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) has very strict guidelines for all employees working within the security industry. All companies that are registered with the SIA, have stringent checks on them by the SIA. We, at a1 Security operate vetting procedures that fully comply with BS 7858, and are audited through BSI under our ISO quality system.
The following is a partial list of vetting activities:
- All applicants will be 'screened back', in writing, ten years or to school leaving age, whichever is the lesser (a1 Security reserves the right to go back as far as twenty years or if the client requests).
- The more stringent written vetting process must be completed within sixteen weeks in order for the applicant to successfully move from probationary status to that of full-time employee.
All vetting records are stored and maintained at a1 Security’s Head Office.
